This website has been set up as a resource for those with an interest in injury prevention and community safety.
Within the site you will find injury statistics for New Plymouth District, along with information about injury prevention and community safety initiatives taking place within our district, and across Taranaki. Copies of our needs assessment, strategy documents and newsletters are also available.
NPiS WEBSITE UPDATE
New Plymouth injury Safe
are currently in the process of developing a new "Safe
Community" website that will serve as a one-stop shop
for community safety and injury prevention information in
our district. Local organisations, groups and networks with
links to community safety are being invited to contribute
to the website and develop their own web pages, or include
links to their existing website.
The new webite is planned
to be launched in June 2009. If you would like to know more,

Who are NPiS?
New Plymouth injury Safe (NPiS) is a charitable trust with the following purpose:
“To achieve a positive safety culture and create safer environments for all people within the New Plymouth District”.
Our core partners are:

- Department of Labour
- Kidsafe Taranaki Trust
- New Plymouth District Council
- New Plymouth Police
- Tui Ora Ltd
- Taranaki District Health Board (Health Promotion Unit).
